Hello, baby!

Our first look, about 7 weeks:

That's about all we have. The Dr. gave us some printouts today, but not scanned yet. They're not all that exciting though. I suppose because the baby is getting bigger, you can see more definition in individual body parts, but you can't really see the entire baby. Our new pictures are mainly of his hands. But even though we can't really see all of the baby, I can definitely feel the baby moving around a whole lot. Kind of weird.

About 12 weeks to go! No nursery in sight yet. Hopefully we can start working on it in a couple of weeks.

Welcome to my blog!

Now that I'm starting my 28th week of pregnancy, I thought maybe it would be a good idea to start blogging about it...and the adventure of parenthood to come! I decided to name the blog "A Work in Progress" because, well, that's how I see myself. I didn't want this to be a blog just about my pregnancy, or just about my baby, but about my journey a (to-be) parent and as a person in general. Right now, while I'm still somewhat level-headed (though I am pregnant, so I'm not sure how true that is), I am still able to recognize that I'll never be a "perfect" parent who makes all the "right" decisions, and that I will always be works in progress. I suppose this can be said about one's life in general, but for now, the focus is on baby.
